Birth Doula

My role as your doula is to guide you on your birth journey. To help you have a positive birth experience so you can look back in awe at what you achieved, with full heart and a warm smile. I do this by providing good quality evidenced based information, a listening ear and a whole lot of doula love.

The definition of positive birth is not limited to a birth at home in water, surrounded by candles, with ylang ylang wafting in the air and whale music playing and it is not necessarily without drugs or medical intervention. It is about you feeling consulted, respected and that you have ownership of your birth. It is about you feeling utterly loved and like a birthing goddess.

I am based in NG32 and work with clients in Grantham, Sleaford, Lincoln, Newark, Nottingham and surrounding areas. I support parents across a whole range of scenarios including home birth, hospital birth, water birth and caesarean birth. As every parent and birth are unique my doula role is different for every client.

Birth Doula

  • 4 hours of 1:1 antenatal preparation for birth support
  • Unlimited telephone and email support throughout pregnancy & for 6 weeks after birth
  • On call for birth from 38 weeks until birth
  • Continuous support during labour and birth
  • 2 hours of postnatal support

Birth Doula Fee:  £850

*I doula for love not money, but I do need to charge a fee that reflects the time I spend with clients as well as the time I am on call 24 hours a day for a month. However, I do not like to let money get in the way of me supporting parents in need and with who I feel a real affinity, so if you are concerned about my fees, please give me a call, we can usually work something out.
